ever-going
my mind
so sad, so sudden
then smoke
and haze
I forget
but there are many days
I have forgotten
not by choice
but simply because
I need to
ever-going
my mind
so sad, so sudden
then smoke
and haze
I forget
but there are many days
I have forgotten
not by choice
but simply because
I need to
the clock
twelve hours
sixty minutes
it was only two years ago
a bitter taste
a lonely place
where everyone looks the same
a silent trek
through this dim life
it’s started to get hard to breathe
too soon
heartless Time
took you
from me
At All Costs
Two rapid heart beats
Through thick stone, like armored chest plates
Through warm thick brown hides,
Designed to keep out cold
Through the breast of a stubborn girl,
And muscle of a lost boy
Horns clash together
Antlers lock into place
Palm meets cheek bone
Red bloodshot eyes glare in preparation of another charge
Hoofs kick and meet their target
Breaking open well protected skin
The cheek becomes bruised
And swollen
As the girl is thrown to a chair
The bones break
The blood is spilt
Words penetrate deep
Each will end the same,
There can only be one victor
When love becomes hurtful,
But must be preserved
At all costs
